City of Glass By Cassandra Clare

Clary Fray is preparing for a trip to Alicanta, with the rest of the Shadowhunters who are going there to discuss what they discover of Valentine's plans. Clary's newfound brother, Jace, doesn't think it's a very good idea because of her powers to create new runes. He's scared of what the other Shadowhunters might think. So he comes up with a plan to keep her from going. His plan doesn't work and he ends up taking Simon with him.

Clary ends up making her own portal to Alicanta and taking Luke with her. And she then finds a new friend in a strange, mysterious boy name Sebastian, who seems to like her. Simon gets thrown in jail by Shadowhunters who don't trust a vampire who can stand sun light. All while Valentine is making an army to attack.

Can they stop Valentine once and for all?
